However, that won't help if you've already edited the pattern in 11. As far as I know, though, PCStitch 10 works with the newer Windows. PCS hasn't been updated lately and is the only one that is new enough for Windows 10. I've seen a description of it on another form.

There is a new update for Windows 10 due out tomorrow or you can get it now. You need to contact Mark with details of the problem and that it is Windows 10. I'm going to have my IT company pull the update out and block my system from seeing it until a new release is issued or PCS tells us they fixed it. If it were the printer it would allow you to open the print options/preview box but it doesn't even get that far. Mine does not give an error, it freezes and then tells me PCStitch has stopped working and that Windows will close the program and notify me if a solution is available. After that I also could not print from PCS11. My system was working all weekend and then forced the update yesterday.

They say they're compatible with Windows 7 but the only things that work with the printer is Foxit (an Adobe clone) and Internet Explorer. I myself cannot use any HP printer directly from either PCStitch 10 or 11. If there is a solution I'm happy to wait a few days and save my time and money, but if not I need to get started right away.Īs was mentioned before - errors in printing may be the printer. At this point, I would love to know if I need to purchase a different program and get started recharting my patterns so I can get them to my customers. It felt like they didn't even read the detailed email I sent. I haven't heard back from them and that was at 10:30am. I emailed customer service today with all of my info including what I have attempted already and was asked if I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling, to which I replied yes. I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling, downloading the PCStitch 11 demo, as well as reinstalling windows and none of that has worked. I am having the exact same error message and crashes in PCStitch 10, and am hoping to fix it ASAP for a pattern release. But as you say, it’s probably not that:)lĭoregan8, did you find a solution for this problem? What i forgot to say was, is that I have another program that has system memory issues, and reactivating the print spooler helped. The user can't even select the size of the grid for the stitches, the type of backstitching to show or anything else that comes before selecting the printer. The window from which to select the printer options doesn't even come up, much less the actual selection of the printer. From what I understand, the error occurs as soon as the print option is selected. Maybe the Print spooler is deaktivated?Īmber, that's a good idea but I don't think that's the issue here. I have version PCS 10, windows 10 (fully updated), and a laserprinter from HP. There is no such thing as a stupid question

I refused to upgrade either of my machines, 7 or 8.1 and I'm glad I did.Īt least with 7, I have the option of WHEN or even IF I run updates. PCStitch User Forums - Printing error, helpĭo you have access to another computer that's running an earlier version of Windows?
